It is not uncommon to be struggling with thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are sometimes out of our control. In these instances, it is perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed, especially when we cannot make sense of what is happening with our own body and mind.

We all go through stresses, heartbreaks, anxieties, sadness, anger, and a whole range of emotions throughout the span of our lives, precisely because it is a very human and normal thing to experience. At KIN & KiDS, we help individuals make sense of these struggles (and beyond), and find ways to work on their concerns and challenges.

Our clients seek therapy for a variety of reasons, some of the common reasons are:

  • General stress
  • Substance abuse
  • Interpersonal challenges
  • Career changes
  • Loss of a loved one
  • Diagnoses requiring clinical interventions
  • Relationship issues where the other partner is not willing to come in

Some people seek therapy because of short-term troubles they need help navigating, others look for support or interventions for problems they failed to overcome even with numerous effort.

We journey with our clients as they set therapy goals, gain clarity about one-self, struggle through trying times, experience growth, and obtain desired changes to better their lives. This process is a collaborative treatment between the therapist and the client, where clients are able to openly express their feelings and experiences, while therapists provide support in a non-judgmental, safe environment.

We believe making a commitment to come in for individual therapy is essential for healing. At the end of the day, our biggest wish is to guide you through the process of therapy, and be with you as you overcome adversity to find a new self.
